As an arbitrator, I developed keen interest in arbitration because of its effectiveness as the most suitable way of resolving commercial disputes. I have been admitted as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and I have served as arbitrator in small claims arbitrations, counsel, supporting counsel, tribunal secretary, research assistant, among others. I have equally participated in various conferences, workshops, trainings and webinars on arbitration and I have membership with the ICC YAF, CIArb (UK), YIAG-LCIA, Young ICCA, Young ICSID and Young ITA. I also participated in the work of the Committee set up by the Attorney General of the Federation in 2020 charged with the responsibility of coming up with a National Policy on Arbitration in Nigeria and a member of the ICC Africa Conference, 2022 Planning Committee. I have been part of the team that provided expert opinion on the whether pharmaceutical companies registered by foreigners in Nigeria need to be licensed to practice in Nigeria in an LCIA Arbitration No: 204892 between Idi Holdings and Olubukunola Adewunmi George & another; and I am currently participating in the ongoing arbitration over a construction dispute between Borno State Government of Nigeria and Hajiag Construction Company.
